Birth Certificates
Birth certificates remain on file at the Schuyler County Clerk’s Office for any person born in Schuyler County.
A certified copy can be requested at the Rushville City Clerk’s Office for a fee. The fees for the first certified copy is $5.00, and each additional certified copy is $2.00.
Death Certificates
Death certificates remain on file at the Rushville City Clerk’s Office or the Schuyler County Clerk’s Office for any person whose death occurred within Schuyler County, IL.
A certified copy can be requested for a copy fee. The City of Rushville fees are: $9.00 for the first certified copy, and $6.00 for each additional certified copy.
How Do I Get a Copy of a Birth or Death Certificate?
Certified copies of birth or death certificates can be requested in person at the Rushville City Clerk’s Office at 111 E. Washington St., Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Certified copies can also be requested by mail. The written request should contain the name of the individual, date of birth/date of death, parents’ names including mother’s maiden name, number of copies requested, and a check or money order made payable to the City of Rushville and can be sent to:
